It should be no surprise we're huge fans of the work Xbox has been doing to make the games industry more inclusive. Announced today at Gamescom, Xbox shared 3 new inclusive controller options, as well as an amazing resource for tinkerers – 3D-printable files compatible with the newly announced Xbox Adaptive Joystick.
Check out the announcement video below!
Back in May, we shared an early preview of the ByoWave Proteus Controller. We were thrilled to see the newest version of this controller ready and looking great in the spotlight in the Xbox announcement.
Also in today's announcement is the Lite SE 2.4G Wireless Controller, by 8BitDo. It was specifically designed for gamers with limited mobility, offers a ton of flexibility. From the article, "it also includes two programmable Super Buttons that players can map without any extra software and are fully compatible with the Xbox Adaptive Controller."
Beyond the hardware itself, Xbox also shared an update on the inclusively designed packaging for the Xbox Adaptive Joystick too! For gamers with disabilities, unboxing experiences can often be frustrating, or worse, impossible to get through. That's why we're so excited to see Xbox paying special attention to how gamers will unbox the new Adaptive Joystick. After all, the less frustration with packaging between you and a game, the better!

Hardware is hard to make! It can also be the missing piece of the puzzle in terms of opening up games to millions of gamers with disabilities. That's why we're thrilled to see not just Xbox innovating in this space, but more and more companies each year.
